Ok I'm know I am setting myself up to be flamed, but can you set the strength of the flash on a 350d. And where in the name of all that is holy do I plug the sinc cable for external flash in?

Please help a noob. :o

The Flash syncs through the contacts on the Hotshoe mount. Flash Exposure Compensation is set on Camera Menu 2, 2nd option down, when in the Creative Zones (P, Tv, Av, M)

Yea. Flash Exposure Compensation is your only control over the intensity (of the onboard flash)

Ok got you on the Exposure comp. But lets say I've got a studio light with a sinc cable, where the hell do I plug it in?

The 350D / XT does not have a sync port. The only option is the hot shoe. If you are wanting to move the flash off camera, there are wireless transmitters available that you can mount on the hot shoe and trigger off camera flashes. http://cgi.ebay.com …48515QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem (external link)

There are also PC hotshoe adapters that plug into your hotshoe and provide a standard PC sync socket.. if you are not into wireless
