Camera shops in oahu Hawaii?

Any decent shops on Oahu? Should be here for a couple months.

the best shop IMHO on oahu is kaimuki camaera. theres also one at the alamoana mall

I live on Oahu and would like to know of a good place to try out new cameras and lenses before I ultimately purchase them online. The camera shop in the Ala Moana is very hesitent to open anything to let me try it out, especially L series lenses.

Well there is a local RitzCamera here (there are 3 total on Island ((Waikiki, Ala Moana Mall, and Kahala Mall)). But Kaimuki Camera's prices are better than Ritz and you dont have a pushy salesman trying to sale you everthing you dont need. PM me if you want directions.

very true, I read the post wrong. But the time you pay for shipping here in Hawaiim it's almost the same price. Just buy locally, unless the online deal is just "that" good, but if its not from BH or some other well know online shop then it probably has catches.

yeah. i definately agree. but the mark up in hawaii is rediculous due to shipping. buying online is usually cheaper.
i always buy locally from kaimuki camera or ritz because im an impulse buyer

I live on Kauai and there is NOTHING for me to look at in any shop here....it's online only for me.

I wasn't trying to mention names, but all I knew of on the island was Ritz camera, and they are at least 10+ percent more expensive than B&H, not including sales tax. If I can find a better price at the non-chain store, I would much rather buy locally. Even if it is a little more expensive than online, being able to take it home that day and knowing that it works before getting it home justify the added cost and the sales tax. I just feel like Ritz camera is like Radio Shack, trying to sell you everything in the store. Thanks to you all for the help!
