Zimbabwe is a strange place, 1000% inflation, poverty and a dictator in charge but they also have this:

#1 is the classic Victoria Falls Shot, superb!

Do my eyes decieve me Neil? A waterfall at 1/250? Did you set the camera wrong? ;) Just teasing! Nice to see that shot from you, gives a different emphasis, shows the power of the water more.

Hmm, I did want to capture some of the force of this place, after all it is hardly a small Yorkshire stream ;)

Cheers.

I suppose it can work as a comfort spot when the inflation rises up to 1 million % Neil , you just go near the edge and....simply jump.

Far too much spray around doesn`t really let you space for clarity, does it ?
And the wind must`ve been high too ? i see the trees a bit blurry.
Awesome site though, especially in the larger version,i pressume there are paths all around the falls ?

Lots of mist, yes a real bugger on clarity and using the 714B in wind....ARGHHHHHHH! :) A bit of dodging was in order to bring the trees out on the last pic.

Paths lead along the front of the fall up to the gorge where the river flows. There is a bridge over the gorge, about 100m deep, which is the border crossing to Zambia. You have a similar setup in Zambia except there you have access to the other side of the falls, long drop if you get it wrong though, if you wade through the river. You can access Livingstone island, if you can afford that is!

:) Cheers D.

Beautiful as usual Neil.
I really like the third shot with the faster s/s on the falls, it gives it more of a "falling" effect rather than the smooth flow as with the slower s/s...MHO

:) Cheers frank, I like both shots, so included both for those who prefer one or the other. To remember the place correctly one must see the force of nature at work.
