I need a bit of advice!

I want a new lens for xmas off my lovely gf but not sure which to go for.
Been looking at the canon 75-300 USM or the Tamron 70-300 Di LD but not sure which offers the better value for money. Would value peoples opinions. Will have a budget of around £200.

Cheers

Phil

dunno about the tamron but the canon is one of their worst apparently. Google for reviews on it...it's pretty much all bad.

What about the Sigma 70-300 DG APO - thats around £180 and seems a popular choice.

A better choice, if budget allows, would be the 100-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM.

Make sure it's in stock and then stand your ground. Some Jessops aren't too keen on price matching!!

Now that I helped you half you're budget, would you mind donating towards funding my purchase of a Sigma 17-70?? ;)
