Marc,

Fabulous photos, the last 2 do it for me!!

What colour balance adjustments do you make out of interest? The colours and saturation of the pics in your last 2 post have been fantastic.

Incidently, what did you say to Robert Huth before the game to make him kick the ball directly at you like that?!;)

Also, a little off track, but what do you make of Neat Image? Good? Bad? Indifferent?

Excellent captures. I would like to see them a bit more saturated and a bit warmer as long as you adjusting them.

Super shots Marc, I especially like the second-to-last, almost made me want to duck.

Really nice set Marc, I like the one of Robbie best, not sure why. Maybe it is because my father-in-law supports Spurs and Keane and it's rubbing off!!

Hi Paul,

The adjustments are minimal really, to be honest I dont fully understand the PP side of things.

All the pics I post have been run through auto levels ( I should use curves but speed dictates otherwise I'm afraid) and USM previously before I upload my stock.

So all that was done here was resize to 800 pxl's high or wide & push the 'hue' up to +5.

Some additional USM was added at the rate of something like 150, 0.3,2 So two burts of USM in total.

Re Neat Image...I like it, seems to give a reasonable result used on full auto.

Maybe one day after Xmas I'll treat myself to a decent desktop machine & monitor and sit down and start to learn the PP side of things properly.

HTH a bit :)

I like #1 and 5 the best. Too bad the feet in the other shots were cut off...but the captures themselves are very nice. Must be nice to be able to get so close...wish I had the opportunity.

Good luck, and happy clicking.

Mark,

Many thanks for that, just given it a shot on some of the football stuff from Tuesday and it works well - give a lot more depth to the colours.:)

I see from the EXIF that you use Elements 4 for your editing - do you find that when transmitting pitchside that this is ok...as opposed to using an Action in PS CS2?

Paul,

Yep Elements works fine, I can do all in that that I need to without taking up a load of space on the drive with CS.

Roy,

Certainly am, so glad I got it now :)

I think it is a Canon 400mm 2.8.
