this stream runs through the Greenbrier portion of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in east Tennessee. This shot was taken with tripod mounted 75-300 zoom, shutter priority at 1/10 second exposure.

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

To be honest, I am surprised to read you were tripoded because the shot looks quite a bit soft when looking at static objects such as rocks and trees. That lens can be a little heavy on the pod, but still. Perhaps a heaver tripod, or the lens is soft? Or perhaps you picked up the blur in PP. /Dan

I'm new to this format, but I think my photos are losing a lot of clarity and sharpness due to the drastic size reductions required by the forum. If anyone has any suggestions for maintaining the same quality despite the reduction process, please feel free to pass them along. I welcome the help, and obviously need it...

Read some of the threads here on the TLR sharpening script, then download the free photoshop plugin/script. The photoshop addon will not only help you, but by reading the documentation you will learn a lot about capture, creative, and output sharpening. /Dan
