So I wanted to try my hand at some low light photography and, as I was going into Paisley, I thought I'd take my camera with me. This is what I managed to get. What do you all think?

Cheers man. Yeah, I did have to keep an eye on the 350D when the local wildlife came wandering past! Haha!

Thanks Dimitri. Nice to get good feedback from the master. ;)

About the cars, I tried cloning them out but every attempt just looked weird so I decided to leave them as they were.

That's a blast from the past for me as I went to Paisley Grammar School and had to walk past the abbey every day on my way to the bus home. :)

It did, and it also struck me that even though I spent the first 24 years of my life in Paisley, I never visited the abbey or even took photos of the outside.

It's a beautiful building, inside and out. Well worth photographing, especially at night as you can see when it's all lit up.

Hey elfy....

Did you notice something really exciting about your picture?

The stars...

Thats the Plough... Ursa Major... the Big Dipper. Amazing that they should be so defined in Paisley with all the orange street lights. What an amazing capture.

Cousin, from Dunlop Ayrshire - now Canada.

Jeez, you're right it is! Wow, I'd love to say that was intentional but sadly not. That is pretty cool though. Thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks. Don't worry, it wasn't too late. It was taken at about 5:30 pm so there were still lots of people around to witness any muggings or suchlike. Thanks for your concern though! ;)

Thanks! Like I said above, it wasn't intentional but now that it's been pointed out, it adds something special to it.
