Are there some zooms that will fit on the Canon S 2IS like the 100-300 mm 4.5 or others. It doesn't seem like I can get close enough to birds etc. without a zoom of some sort. How is the quality of the lenses?

Canon lists the ones they offer in the back of hte S2 manual; Lensmate is another provider of auxiliary lenses, filters and mounts. Jon

The S2 zoom goes from 36-437mm so you get a greater maginification at 432 than you could ever get at 300. As mentioned LensmateOnLine.com have a huge range of auxilary lenses which can go over 900mm equivalent focal length. Max
