You really should stay away from them... you don't want to catch whatever they have!

That's what I tried telling my wife!

The show was about a two hour drive though (each way), and this is the first time our baby has been sick. :(

totally off topic, but what sort of shenanigans did you get into to be granted the 'givin' good karma' title in large bold font? :D

It started here:
https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=839212

Its a very long thread, so here is a short re-cap post:
https://photography-on-the.net …php?p=9830300#post9830300

All I really did was start a thread and send out a few emails:

I was going to do Nebula on Sunday but they sent me a message that their tour is on Haiatus? None of the other bands or the venue seem to know this yet...

Three days of wall-to-wall death metal. ...And I don't even like extreme metal. Should be interesting. :)

30 bands on two stages... Mayhem, Death Angel, Marduk, Benediction among others.

I didn't have time to shoot all 30 bands, but got most of 'em.
Even with earplugs, my ears are ringing like hell! :)

Coincidentally I shot former Drive By Trucker Jason Isbell playing solo on Saturday (and also joining Justin Townes Earle on stage for a few songs) - very impressive songwrite/performer.

Not surprising you didn't know any other acts on the bill as they are Australian acts that probably aren't known outside these shores. The Break are in instrumental surf-rock band comprising three members of Midnight Oil and Brian Ritchie from The Violent Femmes - they were pretty damned fine.

One of my biggest regrets is that I wasn't shooting concerts while Midnight Oil was still together. That does sound like a cool grouping though, Richard. Surf's Up Tonight.
