Pain In The Arse

it's a very low stage, and they have tables pushed right up to the stage. the show i shot the musicians were sitting down. i couldn't squeeze in close, and shooting long meant lots of heads in the way.

Yeah, he's not overly exciting to shoot, and the Regattabar is an unexciting venue. Some of my shots are here - www.****/CharlieHunter (external link) - which may or may not work for you. Back on topic, I'm shooting the Cowboy Junkies on Sunday

Wow. For the past bunch of years the Cowboy Junkies didn't allow any photography at all at their shows. Still some of the nicest people in the business though. Margo is a doll. I spent a bit of time with her son on the bus behind the Beacon Theatre playing peek-a-boo a few years back.

I look forward to the photos.

Tonight would be Laura Jansen but her band is stuck in America thanks to the ash of the Icelandic vulcano... No flights from and to Europe, at least when she cancelled the show. At this time there are flying some planes again but not as much as usual. Now she'll visit us at the 18th of May.

Is she as booming in the US as she is here?

Low Anthem is an interesting group to photograph who play some bizarre instruments. Hopefully you have some good light unlike me when I shot them opening for Josh Ritter.
