Oh, the next box did the same thing...

Forget it. I am outta here.

You lost me as a customer and quite likely, I will not be the only one.

(Sorry, call 'em as I see 'em - Or in this case, don't see 'em because it didn't load fast enough.)

Hmmm, it really does load much too slowly - and I'm on cable. Once it does load the motion of the pictures bouncing around is distracting.

On a positive note, I really liked a lot of your images. They show an artistic flair IMO. Nice stuff. But not many will wait around for it.

Hmmm, I have to agree, loading times. Having software development as my day job, people (customers) won't wait after about 4 seconds on the web (1 second on desktop apps). We try and explain that the 1st to 2nd second is occupied by page/server requests - hitting the cache if it can - but they don't care about that. We reduce our page request to the BARE minimum and "load on demand".

Are you trying to load the full flash-site in one go, flash is terrible with regards to load times? Better maybe to load the front/access screen quickly and then load the subsequent sections seperately. You can also break a large SWF into smaller ones and load them into your interface when asked for.

Sorry I haven't commented on pics, the first impression hit me more.

I agree ... way too slow. I have a question. Under prices, you state that you have no session fees & your packages start at $49.95. In my studio, a session of up to 12 images to choose from is $30.00 and an 8X10 is $45.00 plus set up fee of $15.00. I'm curious what someone would get for a low price of only $49.95 and no session fee ?

You guys must have bootleg connections, haha. It only took about 4 seconds to load up for me...

That being said, I don't like the music... but everything else was nice enough.

Sorry Tina, it really is too slow on loading. Otherwise it's quite nice and I didn't find the music off-putting. I pretty much agree with rammy, you need something that loads pretty quickly straight away to catch peoples interest. After that, if it takes a LITTLE longer to load a section then you can probably get away with it. Do take it as constructive criticism, most of us would rather help than hinder.

cheers
Bill

Was a bit slower than normal but didn't seem as slow to me as most people here are making out.

You might have to sacrafice that intro bit? (I think they get annoying after the first few times someone vists anyway). If you take out the into you can make the homepage look just like your current one, but instead of using flash just use the more traditional html. You could keep flash tidbits in to do some fancy animation here and there still if desired.

As for the actual site content. I liked it :) Interesting pictures too. Though there was one page where there were pictures of people for the whole thing and two of butterflys? Just seemed odd to have the butterflys in there when the theme seemed to be people.

Hope that helps a bit
