check out the crumpler bags. http://www.crumplerusa.com (external link)
i have bought two bags from them and several from other companies. my backpack bag is slightly larger than a normal sized school backpack (read backpack with one large pouch and one small pouch in the front, not the two or three large pouch school bags with wheels and the kitchen sink). it holds my camera, 3 lenses ranging from the small canon 50mm to a large zoom, my flash, accessories, many many more accessories, and my laptop. then theres straps for my tripod on the bottom.
the way the bag is set up is pretty cool, it doesn't have a zipper on the front, instead the zipper is located along the seam where the back padding is so the only way for anyone to get in it is to take it off your back. the padded case that holds my laptop comes out so if i go hiking i can remove it beforehand for less weight. the camera gear is held in place by a mesh lining so if i'm just getting my laptop out the lenses and camera won't fall out if its kicked or picked up with the pack unzipped.
the other crumpler bag i purchased is a shoulder bag. heres the kicker, its smaller than the bag it replaced, but holds more and feels lighter. i can fit 3 lenses, camera, flash and portable hard drive in there with a few accessories. no tripod straps.
both of my bags don't look like a camera bag, so less likely to be stolen unless people see me taking gear out of them. alot of their bags are part of lines, and neither of the bags i bought were the biggest in that line, so you may find what your looking for.
