rian, I must admit I'm AMAZED you didn't use HDR. you can use HDR for more than just band shots you know... The sky could've been way more vibrant and it really could've made this landscape pop! c'mon, you're the HDR king (or should I say queen )!

c'mon buddy...I've seen you make those colors POP! lets see it.

I like the horses in the middle that are running, actually. Gives the photo a kind of "painting" feel, at least to me. Nice framing, unmistakable vista

That is a pyramid. The walls are supposed to lean into each other.

A rectilinearly corrected ultra wide angle lens can make the walls lean any way you want. Tilt it down a bit and the walls lean out or tilt it up a bit and the walls lean in. Keep it level and they are more or less vertical. This is a fun effect to play with.

All of the other attempts of the origional seem to put too much color saturation. I like the color of the original better..

It has a real Indiana Jones feel to it

I think this pic looks good desaturated too.. I did a bleach bypass, and a B&W real quick with som plug-ins in CS2. I only spent aout 5 minutes on each, but I think they look pretty decent for a quick, non-selective edit..

I love how much you got in the frame, plenty of different things to look at.

It's a nice shot, but the comment above is actually exactly why I don't really like the composition of this shot. I'm a wide angle junkie, but I've found the most effective use of wide-angle lenses is when you use the wide angle to actually isolate a single component of an image. There's too much to look at in this photo, so consequently, there's no focal point to the image...the eye looks everywhere instead of being drawn into the image.

It's a very nice shot, but I really would have liked a vertical here, concentrating on the structure in the foreground, and leading the eye to the pyramid.

WOW, i will think to go there someday.
Egypt is not so far from here, still we all are in the middle east.
I went there when i was a kid twice, means all what i remember in my mind is Black and White or Sepia maybe.
