hudd92 Hatchling 2 posts Joined Dec 2006 More info | Dec 09, 2006 11:50 | #1 We have an A530 and it is giving us a lens error when we turn it on, and the lens does not want to open at times and when it does, it does not open all the way or the picture is real fuuzy and it won't let us zoom. Does anyone know about how costly of a repair this may be?

Dec 09, 2006 12:46 | #3 Yeah, we tried to put in freshly charged batteries and that didn't help. I am just wondering if it would be better to look for a new camera or fix this one.

If so, you haven't dropped it, and there are no external signs of denting or banging around, it's certainly worth trying to get Canon to fix it under the warranty. Jon
