C&C Welcomed, I'm learning :)

Rained all night, took this shot this morrning.

Testing out my new 50mm 1.4
Shot taken hand held at: F/11 - 1/80 - ISO 100

Resized for web. The only pp that was done was to clone out distracting power lines.

I like the composition but wish the sky was darker.

If the sky was darker, it'd be (IMO) perfect.

i've noticed... that sometimes the sky just isn't dark enough.... in the first place..

A CP filter is on my wish list. Altho im sure the sky could be darkened up a tad in ps. But ya I was thinking the same about the sky.

I want to go back and shoot this again at night. The flag and trees are lit up. I think it would look awesome.

I agree with what everyone else has said, but since the sky is light in this picture, consider cropping out the top 1/2. It won't lighten the sky but it will remove the brighest part and it will maintain focus on the flag.

You took a very nice picture, regardless of the lighting from the sky.
