Hello fellas.

I was wondering how much stuff this bag could carry.

Could it carry (inside):

20D+grip
17-40 f/4L
28-105 f/3.5-4.5 II
70-200 f/4L
580EX
small accessories

And in a Lens Case 5S:
100-400L

(no, I don't own that stuff)

Is it a good bag at all? Looked nice for travelling...

Thanks in advance,

David

I own one and I don't think all that could fit unless you put the 100-400 in a hard case and attached it to the outside, and it would be way full inside.

In a hard case? Doesn't Lens Case 5S fit it OK?

Go for the 200. It's only a little larger than the 100 but can hold a lot more, and is slightly deeper so it can accomodate a 20D w/grip.

I had both the 100 and 200 for a while, and I sold the 100 because I couldn't fit much in it. My 200 can hold my 20D w/grip, 300/4L, 70-200/2.8L IS, a couple of small zooms or primes and some accessories, and the 580EX in the front pouch.

It's a tight squeeze, but I can fit:

- 20D (no grip) - however, there looks to me to be at least 2" of room above the camera, so I can't see why to 20D with grip attached wouldn't fit.
- 24-70 f/2.8L
- 70-200 f/4L with hood
- 420EX ... I'm going to check, but I may be able to store the 420EX in "direct flash" position with my 50mm f/1.4 beside it
- 4 filters
- A bunch of AA batteries, spare camera battery, CF cards, mini softbox

I think you could get the list of stuff you mentioned to fit minus the 100-400, but I doubt that you could carry the three lens hoods.

I had my 20D+Grip in the 100, and it was a little tough to zipper it closed but it worked.

Also, I forgot to mention, I think the 200 would just about be able to hold everything you listed including the 100-400. If the 17-40 f/4L and 28-105 f/3.5-4.5 II are around the size of the Tamron 28-75/2.8 and 85/1.8, then no problem fitting everything without the need for an external case for the 100-400.

Thanks for this, guys!

So, is Micro Trekker 200 still much smaller than the Mini Trekker AW? It's so big... that's why I want a smaller bag for trips that I don't want to have a big bag in.

The Micro is just a little smaller than the Mini. About an inch in depth anad maybe a couple inches in length.

The Micro Trekker 200 is far closer to the Micro Trekker 100 in size than the Mini Trekker. Compared to the 100, the 200 is only about 1-2 inches taller, and almost the same exact width and depth. The Mini Trekker is much larger than both of the Micro Trekkers. It's a full 4 inches deeper inside and about 2 inches taller and wider than the largest Micro Trekker.

Like I said, I had both, and they were so close in size I saw no reason to keep both. The 100 was just a little too small to be able to fit the larger L lenses like the 300/4L IS, 100-400L and 70-200/2.8L IS, and just slightly not deep enough to fit the 20D+grip without forcing the zipper.

I wish I still had the 100 so I could show you the side by side pictures.

Thanks for the image, pcasciola.

I think I can put all the stuff inside the bag very easily... so it seems to be good travelling bag. :D
