Could you please have a look at my site and let me know your thoughts (see my sig)! Mainly in regards to the wedding info and portfolio sections. I havn`t done many weddings so don`t have a million images to choose. I have only chosen 20 images so clients can get an idea. Is the wording OK or too cheesey/lame?

Thanks for all comments and ideas you throw my way, I appreciate them all- good or bad!

Regards, Tony

Very very quick impressions (playing devils advocate):
- site is more word based than graphical, which is unusual for a photographer
- everyone claims to do reportage/PJ style, how are you different?
- style of site seems a bit old

Have to rush off, hope you get some useful fedback :)

Forget the wording ... put the focus on your images. I'd say the site is pretty plain and not engageing enough. Find yourself a graphic designer and INVEST in a kick-ass site. Not cheap, but you can't underestimate the importance of having a great site.

Tony I have to say I quite liked it. I asked a non photographic friend to view it and they thought it was informative and easy to navigate with plenty of pics in the gallery. They liked the isolation of the gallery also. But they did not like that they could not find a link from the galleries to the home page. Pressing the back button can be a pain.
I agree that a designer may be of some help but the trouble is, some get so pre-occupied with the design impact that they can lose the whole point of the site which is your work. Choose wisely when taking this option.
Also I would take out the, 'He is a new..' bit and replace it with something that will cement confidence in your target client. The images speak volumes yes, but saying you are new to this will deter some people.
Overall very good. Home page a bit out of balance to the eye though...left bias? or is it me?

2 EOS 1 mkII Dn's, 24-70 2.8L,70-200 2.8L,14 prime 2.8L,100 macro 2.8, metz, metz, and more metz...plus a whole load of other stuff that really is unimportant. It all about the picture, not the tool.
Had the 1ds for a few weeks then realised was overkill. Bought 5d and the 400mm instead.

Thanks for your views. I wanted it fairly plain and easy to navigate, too much flash gets on my nerves and slows everything down. I thought there was enough images on the site- I will reassess that part. The left bias is under review at the moment.
Thanks again all

i like the site. I would probably put either less pictures or some more of the bridal creative ones. to me if i were going to book you it looks like you have only ever done two weddings.

For the kids i would try to put different poses or less pictures. It kinda looks like you only use a white background and do the same poses so it doesnt look as creative.

Personally i dont find it too boring. Its easy to work around and everything comes up fast.

good luck

To be honest.. I didnt like the overall look of the page.. the Homepage looks pretty unorganized as if it wasnt finished yet. Everything is pushed to the left and the right side is empty

I was impressed with your portrait portfolio.. wonderful images!

In the cathegory "Restauration" the "after" picture doesnt come up for me, only a red X

I love the colors of the homepage. The picture above the couch is an interesting idea. Maybe it should be bigger to be more of the focus and take out a lot of the text. It can be put elsewhere, like in an 'about tony' section. It is easy to navigate. I didn't have time to look at the pics, or read anything, sorry. Where are the wedding prices?

Thanks for the heads up on the red Xs. I use Firefox as my browser and it doesn`t show up on that.
I didn`t want to put prices on the site, I want them to ask- rightly or wrongly!
Thanks for your input guys, I`ll use some of your ideas.

I saw a site today that said "I welcome enquiries from people with budgets from $2000" or to that effect, might be a good idea.

dont forget to look over your text and watch for errors. mainly you actually combined words rather than misspelled something.
