First shot with the 500

Finally was able to go out into the garden and use my new weapon! 5 days I had to wait, how frustrating! I'm still getting used to finding subjects in the viewfinder, but this certainly is a beautiful lens.

Not quite a duck, but it's seasonal to make up for it.

500 f4 +1.4TC+30d

Fabulous and very amusing pose, which is ideal for everyone's favourite bird. Under-exposed but comes up quite nicely in photoshop.
