I was wondering if I can get some advice on how to properly care for my camera if I take it with me to the Italian Alps.

I'm concerned that the condensation can hurt the camera?

Also in regards to percipitation ,like for snow...are they any tricks on hwo I can continue to shoot and not worry so much about ruining the camera....

A garbage bag maybe?

You can manufacter yourself a weather prof bag really easy. Just leave the front of the lens outside and use UV filter for protection. Using the hood is also a good ideea to prevent snow or water touching the front element.
To prevent condenstation just put your camera and lenses in a sealed plastic bag when you go from the cold environment in a worm one and wait for the camera to reach the room temperature.
When not using the camera, try to keep it under your jacket to prevent freezing and to make your battery life a bit longer.

I use the Storm Jacket when shooting in inclement weather. It works really well to keep things dry. Check out amazon.com. Not sure if B&H has them.

Use a shower cap - the kind they give you in hotel rooms.

Keep your extra batteries next to your body in an INSIDE pocket to keep them strong.

Put your camera(s) inside a ZipLok bag before you go inside, where it's warmer. The condensation will form inside the bag, rather than inside your camera.
