Took the Sigma to a game today to see if it was fast enough ubder the basket in really crapy lighting. Well not exactly SI work but seems to do ok CC welcomr' shot at ISO1600 f1.6

Great lens ... mine is happy at 1.4 or 1.8 so invaluable in low light.

looks like you killed the shot with a noise ninja ;)

this photo needs the ball... and probably you closer to the ground..


I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.

Interesting. I ended up with the Canon 28 just because I wanted to be able to use it with all my camera bodies. One thing you will find for shooting in this location is that getting lower and shooting portrait rather then landscape will get you more dramatic shots. And yes, these look denoised... but that seems to be the flavour de jour now days. I would keep at it with this lens, odds are your going to get some pretty cool stuff this season with it.
