was out this afternoon not far from home and took this shot of an old abandoned house. Couldn't decide if i liked it better in color or b/w. C & C welcome. Thanks for looking.

The first one puts me in the mood to watch a zombie movie, haha, it just has that feel about it to me. "A good photograph is knowing where to stand." -Ansel Adams

I do notice the textures in the black and white version more due to the color not being as distracting. You could also take several exposures and blend them in HDR to bring out detail in the sky. Also as an experiment you could get closer to the pump and have the house in the background. However, your compositions are very nice already. Dec 11, 2006 19:00 | #12 The B/w works for me but why not try something from the side of the tube well...??? Like a shot going up fro the tube well and covering the house in the background...That might give it a more prominent abandoned look...Just a suggestion Sheri Chander
