I'm looking to get a bit more serious about photography and I would like to go to a photography school with the intention of later on working in journalism and sports photography.

Does anyone know a place to study photography? Collin County Community College has a program but I'm not sure how good it is.

I wish you luck in your decision.

Most will tell you to study on your own and take business classes. Which isn't a bad way of doing things.

Personally I would say its all or nothing with photo schools. Brooks and RIT are among the best, and for good reason. There is a huge difference between them and local run classes. Having attended Brooks and local programs, I can say that with some knowledge.

I have 2 jobs and I watch my kids so my only option is local schools. At the moment I'm more interested in polishing my skills via classes. I need more of the art thing than the technical side of it.
