I have a Canon Pixma 8500 eight color printer. Canon has not exactly knocked themselves out providing papers for this printer. Has anyone tried other papers with good results? Which ones?

Though not the best, I find the quality quite good for little money. A lot cheaper than the Canon papers. I got stuff for taking pictures. :o When things are unclear - It's time to refocus.

Dec 11, 2006 17:24 | #3 Thanks for letting me know. What media setting do you use? Do you set it for one of the Canon papers or do you use the "other" setting? 7D Mark II 6D 100mm f 2.8 macro 180mm f 3.5 macro, MP-E-65 300mm f 2.8 500mm f4 Tokina 10-17mm fisheye 10-22mm 17-55mm 24-105mm 70-300mm 70-200 f 2.8 Mk II 100-400mm Mk II 1.4 TCIII 2X TCIII 580EX II 430 EX II MT 24 EX Sigma 150-600

They have profiles for your printer and paper you can download from their site. Also Redriver paper has mentioned as one to try. Let us know how you like them. Dec 12, 2006 08:49 | #6 Thanks everyone, The Ilford papers are sold at a photo shop near my house. I'll start with them and after some trial and error I will let you know how they worked. 7D Mark II 6D 100mm f 2.8 macro 180mm f 3.5 macro, MP-E-65 300mm f 2.8 500mm f4 Tokina 10-17mm fisheye 10-22mm 17-55mm 24-105mm 70-300mm 70-200 f 2.8 Mk II 100-400mm Mk II 1.4 TCIII 2X TCIII 580EX II 430 EX II MT 24 EX Sigma 150-600
