I'm not a wedding photographer, I don't claim to be, and I never will be. I thought about posting these in the People forum but was afraid they would be moved. Don't get me wrong. I see nothing wrong with being a wedding photographer. In fact I envy those who do it. Flash photography and I don't get along:) With that said, my cousin Jessica got married a couple of weeks ago and I took my camera along. They were singing to each other. Just wanted to share a few of them.

You caught some precious raw emotion. That's the important part of wedding photography. The color/lighting can be corrected easily enough if you wanted to "perfect" the image. But the moment.... you captured it wonderfully!

You had me worried there for a second. I thought you were their wedding photographer until I saw that you are in Canada:) Post a couple of pictures that you took and we can make this the offical Jason and Jessica wedding post.

Thank you so much terrijo. PP is another weak point of mine:o That is why I will never be a wedding photographer.:)

These are very nice Picturecrazy. I especailly like the first one. I also like the back lighting on the last two. Thanks for sharing them. If I could take pictures like these then I would try my hand at wedding photography. I have turned down several request from family and friends.

Art, it's difficult to take good reception pics, and you captured their emotions well. I'm sure they'll love them!
Love your pics, too, picturecrazy! Beautiful sky in the first, and nice moment in the last.

Thanks for sharing! :)

Art, if you could put these together as a set, it would be a great gift to the new couple.
I would crop the sides off most of them (especially the lady with her P&S), but keep the woman wiping her tear in #2. Clean up the red eyes, and they'll be great!

Nice work, Art... definitely captured a special moment there. I don't even know the couple and I felt something ;-)a

Picturecrazy I really like the first image ... hope you don't mind me asking how you lit it? And/or how much PP you used? Really nice work there.

Thanks for the idea Curtis. I'll play around with croping and do a collage in an 8X10 to print and give it to them.

Thank you Luke. Picturecrazy did a good job at PP, didn't he? If I could do the same, I might have just taken up the offers from family and friends to shoot their weddings.

Art, I think these pictures would all look better in black and white.
