....it had a zipper for the main compartment.

My reasons:

1. Not having a zipper makes me feel less secure while traveling. When the main flap is closed there are holes on the sides where things can fall out or small hands can fit in. One thing to watch out for.
2. No real protection from the elements. Not a bag to bring to the beach or dusty areas just because of those holes on the sides again where particles can find their way in. Also, have to be very careful during a downpour because water can get in.

Do any of you share the same sentiments?

Besides that, it's a very cool bag!

I wish the main mesh pocket on the top was divided into smaller pockets. That way you could better organize smaller items.

I wouldnt feel very comfortable with in in a heavy rain for the same reason.

Other then that im pretty happy with it.

hey baboymo (nice name..i'm not baboy noh!)

that's also the reason why i opted for the national geographic bag. the NG has an extra flap that you can zip along with the main flap that you button.

Huh? You no like, you no buy. Why start a thread to chomp on a bag you don't think it perfect? Write the manufacturer if you want a change, otherwise, buy something else.

I use the Crumpler 7MDH and like it very much. I've had the bag completely soaked by a huge wave and the water beaded off the bag perfectly and not a drop inside the bag. I would never be worried by taking it out in the rain. The bottom clasp prevents easy access to the bag, albeit not as secure as a zipper, but much more convienient. I do agree that the top mesh is too large and I'm going to have it sewn to make two or three compartments stopping items stored in the top from falling down onto the gear in the main compartment. My only other beif is the carrying handle design, which really deforms the bag when its full of gear....you must use the shoulder strap virtually all the time. That said I'd highly recommend Crumpler products....they are very well constructed, work well and dont scream 'camera bag'.

I really wish and hope Crumpler would incorporate all the cool features of the Brazillion Dollar home into their smaller million dollar siblings, because the brazillion is just way too big for most people...

including the:
-waist strap
-rain cover
-loop for hooking onto a roller case/trolley
-back-packable
-quick-flick buckle
-laptop sleeve (removable if possible)
-tripod strap and
-memory card slots
-(may be add a holder for AA batteries too), and that'd be perfect!!

I am not asking for much am I??

Hope Crumpler is listening... ;)

if I want a tank for a bag I'll use my lowepro, if i want something quick and easy to carry, i'll use a crumpler, all bags excel at something, it's just a matter of finding one that works for you.
