hey guys,

normally i don't like to start threads about my bad experiences with vendors but i decided to make an exception because i want you guys not to make the same mistake i did. here is the story:

i decided to buy 2 more muslins for my upcoming shoots and based on a recommendation of one of the forum members, i decided to go with saycheesebackground. the price was pretty good ($240 for 2) and the colors they had looked great on their website. anyway, i ordered the 2 i wanted and i waited. and waited. and waited. and waited. finally, after a month and a half, i recieved the box today. this is where it gets ugly. the first thing i did was to use my box cutter (like i did about 30,000 times in the past) and as soon as i cut the clear tape, i knew that i was screwed. i guess they decided to save shipping costs so they crammed both muslins into the small box which meant that the top one was pretty much up against the flap. well, now i have a nice gash but i said "no big deal, you can't see it anyway and it is all the way at the buttom. now, i took out the 2 muslins and spread them wide open to see how they were. well, the colors are not even close to how they looked on the website. as for the material itself, lets just say that it would be more comfortable to pose on a floor mop. there is NO WAY IN HELL i am letting a baby sit on this thing. it is hard, doesn't feel good and the quality of the work is just terrible in my own opinion. mind you that i am comparing these muslins to my 2 lasolites which are also pretty cheap but their quality is about 200 times better.

so what is the lesson? stick to vendors that you know and don't be tempted by cheap deals.
