And perchance his grandmother at the end of the light tunnel as well.

The new theme: "BUILDINGS OF WORSHIP" .

The theme is not denominational/religion specific: therefore, as examples, your entries can portray a rastrafarian "house of gathering", a christian church, a sinagogue, a pagan temple. For those devoid of conventional religeous feelings, feel free to portray edifices such as banks, libraries or Porsche dealerships, depending on your own inclinations and phylosophical outlook on meanings, values and purposes.

The key rule is that your images shall not cast a negative commentary on any particular bona fide system of religeous beliefs.

Remember, the theme is essentially architectural in nature......show us the buildings !

The contest closes tomorrow at 23:00 hrs EST.

I thought with the non-religious side this might be a good one. It is the courthouse in Hastings, MN. Many people get married in these places, so there is a religious side to this also.

Wow, they are moving fast!! This is a popular topic... I have one you have seen before but one of my favorites. This is a chapel somewhere on the grounds of the Tower of London - can't remember its name. Maybe someone else can provide more information.

By golly, barely an hour into the contest, and we have so many excellent entries already.
This I like in its distorted way.....as if the church and all is shooting into the heavens. ;)

Here is a more contemporary church, Saddleback, founded by Rick Warren about twenty years ago. It is one of the largest churches in America with a weekly attendance of approximately 20,000. The worship centre seats about 4,000 however the campus is much larger. It is located in Lake Forest CA. Rick Warren is the authour of 'The Purpose Driven Life'.
