I attached my Hoya Polarizer on top of my Hoya haze filter and cannot for the life of me get them appart. I kept unscrewing the polarizer by mistake when turning it for shooting so I snugged it up. It's only finger tight, but I can't seem to free it. Any ideas?? Thanks

Wrap a rubber band around it. Maybe warm the female one to let it expand first.

Filter wrench. Essentially operates like a clamp to enable you to twist apart the filters.

same thing happened to me once. and i never stacked them since. anyway, what worked for me: let it sit outside (but not in the sun or car where it will get hot) until it warms to the outside temp. then bring it into the airconditioner. after its cooled down for a bit see if it will come loose. then again i dont know where you live. mabye its colder outside than inside haha, in that case do it the other way around.

I have a set of filter wrenches just in case. I think they were $5 or 6 at B&H.

The main thing to remember when handling filters is to NOT squeeze the filter. That changes its shape to something other than circular, and that tightens the threads against what it threaded into.

Bottom line - never stack filters again. It isn't good for your images.
