new lens coming and bonus toy! wooHOO!

i finally did it. i ordered the 85mm 1.8 that i've been wanting for some time! merry christmas to me! now i just have to kill time for the next 7-9 business days. i guess there's always POTN. as a stocking stuffer, i also ordered the gretag macbeth color checker chart. i love new toys.

Ohhh... I got that chart. would not do a serious shoot with out it. congrats on the new stuff.

thanks. after everything i've been reading and seeing all the photos that people on here have posted with this lens, i can't wait to use it. i plan on taking many a portrait shot with it.

as for the color checker, i'm looking forward to making profiles for different types of lighting. it'll be interesting to see the differences between those and ACR's default for my camera.
