I have had a A80 point and shoot camera and the software is loaded in my computer. I just bought a 300D. I tied to download the pictures from the 300D using the A80 software but it does not work. The computer is looking for the new camera hardware. If I load the 300D software that came with it will it interfer with the A80 software already in the computer?

I'd get a cheap card reader - then there is no problems at all with software conficts and it's a lot faster

Load the 300D drivers but go to Canon's website and download the latest version of EOs utilities and Zoom Browser from there. They're updates rather than clean installs, so they'll work better on a system where ZB's already been installed. Also grab the latest version of Digital Photo Professional while you're there.
