I guess you cant help who your kids fall in love with . sorry I am so upset and depressed . it has been the year from hell . I really thought it would be a good year . sorry for the rambling . I just need to vent .

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Let's commiserate. I lost my companion of seven years last January to cancer and am drowning in debt over a number of medical bills. In August I started dating someone who I thought was a nice guy, and he ended up breaking my heart. My house was burglarized last month, and my mother was just diagnosed with cancer. I had a falling out with my sister and will probably never speak to her again. I'm having medical and dental problems myself but can't afford to address them.

So, I can empathize with you about wanting this year to end. I just figure it has to get better, because it can't get much worse.

i'm sorry.. I remember how bad my dad took it when my sister got married when we were nineteen.. She called me on a tuesday and said she was getting married.. I asked her when she said tomorrow.. I asked her how long she'd known him she said almost two weeks... strangely enough they're still married and doing okay not perfect but pretty good (most of the time).. Doesn't mean my dad didn't threaten to bury the guy up to his eyebrows..

I know it will get better for you, Greg. I think a lot of it is just trying to move forward and not dwelling a lot on things you can't change. Still, I can't help wishing for a new year, too!

Boy you've had it tough. I can't help but be glad we have our National Health Service in the UK. We pay for it of course but when the really serious bills come in it works out cheap alright. Thre is a shortage of NHS dentists, queues to register a mile long develop when a new practice opens but we are lucky in my area. Better luck in 2007.

Hope you have a better next year Greg. We've all had crappy years, and they suck big time!

Liza, wow, didn't know all of that about you. Hope you have a better 2007 as well.

Hugs to both of you!

My worst year was 2001. Crappy ass year. My parents turned out not to approve of my boyfriend, he refused to discuss it with me, I was so mad with my parents our relationship nearly went down the drain, the bf and my relationship was going down the drain, I was studying/working 15hrs days at Uni, stressed out of my mind. Ugh. It was my senior year, so I buried myself in work and social club work etc to not think about the parents and boyfriend. Then my boyfriend hooked up with a mate of our's behind my back and didn't have the guts to tell me to my face, so heard from another friend of our's. I was overworked, stressed, heart broken and betrayed. So I had a nervous breakdown. Then of course I had got involved with a bad boy end of the year which didn't end well.

Life can really be a chore sometimes, can't it?
Two years ago this month I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that keeps me living in a lot of pain. I was so depressed thinking about how bad that would be and how it would limit me. Dr.'s wanted me to slow down, give me lot's of drugs and even think about retiring and doing something easier. I refused the drugs, have learned to live with the pain and am still working my regular job. Every time I feel crummy, I try to remember how many people have it worse than me and how bad it could be. It helps me get my thoughts into the proper prospective and get back on track....even on my lousy days.
I am no saint and I still don't like the pain and it's limits but I hope you know that tomorrow can be better and that it's okay to have a small pity party once in a while.

Hang in there. Go take some pictures:):):) 2007 is just around the corner!

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

I've had a fairly poor year also. After an extremely difficult pregnancy my wife gave birth to twin boys. While one continues and thrives, the other developed an illness after a week and died on his one-month 'birthday'. Three weeks later my grandmother died, so on Nov 1st I buried my son, and on Nov 30th I buried my grandmother.

I'm hoping 2007 is the dullest year ever.
