Two weeks plus of no internet was refreshing, getting back to relaxing and basics was really nice. Have fun on your cruise ;)

Oi cat! Welcome back!! we missed you!

Your ex-1D is still kicking some serious butt here. However as I am travelling soon and travelling light (taking only 1 body, the lighter 5D), it will be going on a Christmas vacation.

Thank you sir, the 5D is a very versatile camera, good choice. I see your getting a 70-200 F/4L IS, you'll have to let me know how it handles

I played with one in the local camera shop and was very impressed with it, was hand-holding at 1/8th a sec at 200mm, very cool

Welcome back, too bad you had to leave Hawaii :D

Looking forward to a trip down memory lane. Probably the closest I'll get to the nicest spots on earth.

Sounds like you did a little more hiking than I did, I was mostly 4-wheeling.

Best,

My wife and I did the same trip (Big Island and Kauai) in May. We had a wonderful time and we'd recommend it to anyone. You do need tough boots for that hike to the lava flows!
