I could use a gig CF card and Staples has the basic version (not the ULTRA or whatever they name the hight speed version) by PNY for $20...less $6 for a couple of empty printer carts and we're under $15...seems pretty good price...any concerns with PNY tho? If it is decent, I'll post it at market watch.
Thanx for replies...

Hi,

PNY is a known memory manufacturer for computer, workstations, eg.

Here is the link to it:

I have had one 64 Mb CF in my old Noink 5700 working without problems.

Actually they have versions with different memory speed on sell, but you say it´s the basic.
I shall suggest you at least a x40, but by $20 you can not expect to much. Actually they sell in all kind of shops. So it´s up to you ...

BUT in E-Bay you can find better deals !!

Cheers
Juan

No problems with any of my PNY cards. They have worked fine for me. I generlally get them on sale at Fry's Electronics (Outpost.com).

i used to work for a retail display company that built embedded touchscreen applications running on compact flash cards.

during my time there, we had the least problems with sandisk professional cards (the ones we used are no longer available) and then after several failures with other manufacturers, ended up going with PNY.

that said, i've been using PNY cards since in my embedded systems and my 30d with no problems whatsoever.
