I was lucky enough to be in the area around Anstruther last week so I thought I would share some of the beautiful scenes from the area.

All images are clickable links back to the respective Flickr photo page where .exif and larger sizes can be found (the larger sizes look much better)

I love the two Cellardyke ones, especially the 'moody skies' one.

These places are right on my doorstep but I always seem to head north and west from Perth when I venture out with the camera. You have inspired me. :)

Thanks Mike.

We were lucky that the weather was actually quite good, though a little windy at times. The light round those areas was fantastic, especially around the mid to late afternoon time of the day. I'm sure I will be back up there next year, gorgeous part of the world to be!

My favourite is 'A view over St. Andrews', an everyday scene but composed and exposed so very well, with the main street providing a perfect 'hook' into the image.

And yes, the larger images do look better.

Good work.

Concentrate on equipment and you'll take technically good photographs. Concentrate on seeing the light's magic colours and your images will stir the soul. - Jack Dykinga

And a brave man to ascend the cathedral tower in St Andrews!
