24-70 L - by all means!
I prefer the 24-70 to the 24-105; I'm trying to work with my 24-105 to make sure it gets a fair chance, but I prefer f/2.8 and no IS to f/4 with IS so far.

Why couldn't they have stuck IS on the 24-70?, how good would that be? It's a big lens the 24-70 and with f2.8 and not to mention 'L' glass it's superb. I trying to decide between the two. I think maybe I'll rent the 24-70 and see how I get on with it and whether or not I can live without the IS. Canon EOS 1D MkIII, EOS 1D MkII N, EOS 30D

Tareq "I am very lazy, a normal consumer" More info | That lens (24-70L) was moving between 3 cameras (XT, 30D, 1Dmk2N), and now it is moving between 4 cameras (1Dsmk2, 5D is not used yet), so this lens is MUST to me. Galleries:
