One of the first few shots out of my new Sigma 10-20, the steps at St James Park- home of Newcastle United football club. Not sure whether I prefer it in colour or b+w.

Quite like the B&W version Adam as the abundance of strong lines and shadows appeal to me better, and as you'll already know the "toon Army" play in B&W too ;)

Indeed they do. B+W always seems to work better with pictures of the ground/fans!

I like the colour version better, those clouds (IMO) don't really fit the entire "B&W serious" thing. Good picture anyways!

B&W for me - more contrasty and good strong lines work well.

Cheers. It was a shame that the clouds weren't better for that kind of mood but we have to do the best with whats there I guess!

B&W for sure, you gotta love those UWAs! I would even be tempted to really go to town on the contrast - using the Toon B&W theme.

I'm loving mine already, really want to invest in a polarizor for it now. I'll have a go at upping the contrast too.
