Let me know what you guys think! I took the Nikon D50 cause I wanted something light to carry around and if anything happened(stolen.dropped) I wouldnt have felt as bad. Next time I might take the 30D. Click on the link below. I took around 1500 pics but here are a few.. no need to register.

I love the Mirage volcano pics! I had trouble getting nice shots of that, it was terribly windy when I was there and I was on the ground getting smacked around by the palm trees.

Did you take any of the Bellagio fountains, or did I just miss that? That was my favorite subject; I loved trying to capture the movement.

The Mirage Volcano pic with the fire is one of my favorites!! Unfortunately I didn't get any shots of the fountains in action. I just wasnt in the area at the times they had the fountain shows.. And whenever I was, I was across the street or half mile away. Blah.. maybe next time

Wow, the place is overwhelming - I see why they say what happens in Vegas should stay in Vegas! It's just too vast to take it all in! Some great shots there - I liked a whole lot of them, but I must say, and it's not your fault, it's their's, that the wax model of Diana doesn't do her justice!

No tripod or any kind of support for all shots.. The shots are all handheld. I used auto ISO for most of the shots and the lenses are the Nikor 18-55 and 55-200 kit lenses. 95% of my shots were with the 18-55. I took about 1400 pics..thats just a few

Here is an example exif for the below pic

how are you taking a pic at night, with so many lights and them still come so crisp? That one looks amazing!

make sure the exposure is good.. different cameras have more sensitive exposure settings.. The Nikon kit lens takes much sharper pics than the Canon kit lens..soft isn't bad though..all that can be fixed easily via photoshop or other photo editing software.. if you dont have steady hands, take a mini tripod and use a release cable or remote to get the best out of your pics. I messed with lots of settings and eventually found my comfort zone...just don't stress over it.. it'll come naturally and it'll come fast too :)

some very nice shots
The pictures of the strip (like the one you used as an example a few posts ago), they were shot from THE hotel, right?
did you have a room there, or can you just go up there and take some shots? (i walked in the lobby but that's it :p)

They were from the MIX lounge at THE Hotel.. The wife and I went up there to get a view of the city and man is it nice. The drinks are very expensive there (15 bucks for a drink, 8 bucks for bottle water) but the bartender was busy making drinks so I saved myself and the wife some money lol. Its a nice place.. restrooms have windows too! If you go, go before 10 to avoid the $20-$25 cover charge per person. We were there for about 15 minutes and then just came back down. The elevator is glass so you get a nice view going up and down. We stayed at the Mirage.
