Not sure if should be in transport section, I see it more as landscape, if anyone see different if a mod can move it, ta.

Shot this last March, managed to keep the snowflakes off the lens for the shot

What a great combination -- Trains and snow! Nicely composed and exposed.

Very nice, the spash of color on the train and the smoke looks great against the snow & clouds.

Great shot for the upcoming season, would make a great card or page in a seasonal calender. Is that an ND grad at the top or a digital version?

Nice shot - I agree with Vic, the colours on the train looks great against the bleak sky and snow.

Excellent shot. I like the colors of the train against the snow too. Looks like something out of a book.

Very different and refreshing shot in the forum. I love how moody the shot is! Like Tim said, it seems straight out of a story book. Thanks for sharing.

This is gorgeous, all the elements come together very well, with an image that's a treat for the viewer.

Where was it taken?

I printed it off today at A3 and was thinking of making xmas cards maybe for next year. Its a digital version, no ND grad as conditions were difficult keeping the lens dry, I was grateful for the 24-70's hood to keep some of the snow out.

Thanks, Its the Keighley Worth Valley Railway between Oakworth and Haworth Bradford and is about 200yds from where I live. The spot where the train is, is where they filmed the scene from the 1970's Railway children film where they removed their red petticoats to warn the train of the landslide.

Wow, it's pictures like this, that make you appreciate the snow!
As others have said, I think that would make a great Christmas card! Just gorgeous.

That is a beautiful photo, and the train colours make a great contrast to the muted shades from the snow, steam, and sky.
