Absolutely stunning photo. I'm in awe. Makes me long for a white Christmas instead of the t-shirt one we seem to be having.

I agree with the others. This should be on a greeting card or in a calendar or something. Definitely too good a shot to keep hidden.

I though it was, here's one from the same area, although not a patch on yours :)

Nice shot Les great colour of yellow daffs contrast with the blue sky, its a nice railway line with many photo opportunities.

Only question I have is what took you so long to post it? :) It's awesome!

Thanks, I wasn't sure about the shot at the time, I noticed the railway are using it on their website and it looked ok so decided to post it.

Cracking photo :D

We don't see enough steam train/ landscape shots around here, with the combination of the weather and your composition you should be very very happy with this one :)

Thanks it was worth waiting for the train, even though I made the classic mistake of walking into the shot on fresh snow

That is a beautiful image! Timeless is the first word that springs to mind

Thanks its a great place and fortunately the railway is well preserved line.

Awesome, Biko. I love trains and I love shots of trains in snow. Yours works perfectly together!

Thanks I wish the combination of snow and trains was more common, I got most of the shots of the trains running on that day.

Oh wow.

What a perfect picture. This would sell as Christmas cards. Get on the phone to Hallmark. What an awesome shot.

If you have a 1280 x 768 version... I know a desktop that would love to look like that... cough cough... hint hint.

Cousin - who is sometimes a bit obvious. :p

Thanks never thought of it as a shot for a commercial card.

Its in West Yorkshire Bradford UK if you have google earth the co-ordinates are: N53°50.469 W001°56.510 which is for Oakworth Stn.

That's a great shot...the colours look great against the snow.

Well done for keeping the snow off the lens.......:)

Thanks, I learnt in the morning just how tricky as got a few ruined shots due to snow on lens.

This image reminds me of a scene out of an old movie. I love it.

Wow, all I can say is that I agree 100% with all the positive comments in this thread so far. It's such a postcard shot that it seems unreal. It's fresh and one of the nicest shots I've seen here in awhile. Can't wait to see what else is up your sleeve.
