Girlfriends' mother is into Photography, but going in on the parts to build her a new PC this year.

Everyone else is difficult, but mostly done. Non-photography gear. Mom likes Wal-Mart gift cards, but thats a pretty lame thing to open on Christmas morning. So I just usually buy her odds and ends and she ends up taking them back - putting the credit on a - yep, Wal-Mart gift card. Dad is getting electronic gizmos and gadgets.

I usually buy my photo gear as I need it, nothing that can wait for Santa and the elves to deliver to me. Might ask for a Fong Lightsphere because if I don't ask for *something* I'll get socks.

Well to stay along the line of photography, my mom and I are thinking of getting my step father the 580ex or 550ex. He has an xt and we swap equipment back and forth all the time, so I might get him a nice portrait lens instead.

My siblings aren't getting squat from me, other than love and compassion.

My elder brother is getting a DVD set, from the new 007 collection.

My younger brother is getting a 'proof set' of coins, from his birth year, and some other little things, like a mini-lava lamp.

My wife is getting a silver dollar x-mas ornament, a couple of computer games, a soduku game, etc.

Mom -- two silver dollar hologram coins (very cool, I might add...forgot to take pictures of them, when they arrived though...bummer).

Dad -- sweater and a nice shirt...

And the kids, well, they are the lucky ones...all sorts of toys, games, etc. That's what it's all about...

I am so tired of buying into the technology hype...as it's just a waste of time. I did buy my nephew the three games that you can get at Burger King, for his xbox...so, I got my self a set too. Couldn't resist.

My girlfriend has bought me a new lens. She knows nothing about photography or what I need. I hope it is a good one or the store has a returns policy.

I did buy 7 G7's, all with deluxe accessory kits, as gifts. Daughters, son in laws, and future son in law.

My nephew is getting a plane ticket home for Christmas and an iPod Nano, sister is getting a sweater, dad is getting a gun rack for his ATV, mom is getting a massaging seat cushion for the car (she has a bad back), and stepmom getting pie plates and a sweater. And they are all getting calendars made from photos that I have taken this year.
