I have an SD450 that is getting an error message--E18. I can't view my pictures, take any pictures, and the lens won't retract. Any ideas?

I've heard that people have made fixes by tapping lightly on the barrel to knock it back into alignment or reseat the gears. It's generally a condition that Canon considers to be not covered by warranty. Jon
