Gloss or Matte finish?

If the pic is going to be framed (some 5x7s and most of the larger prints) I will not allow the purchase of gloss from most of my galleries.

The reason for this is that gloss clings to the glass of a frame, and creates this yucky suction thing that distorts the picture. it is hard to explain, but smash a gloss print under some glass and you;ll see what i mean.

Lustre gives a nice smooth shine, fingerprint resistance, and doesn't reflect alot of light when viewing the print. also frames nicely.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I always wondered why that happened. That's good to know, now I won't ever print anything larger than a 4x6 in gloss.

Btw, this is a very informative thread :) I've just started printing my images and found that matte is a better option over gloss. I don't think I've tried lustre yet. I'll give that one a shot.
