CONTEST: THIS IS MY PIECE OF THE WORLD

This one should be very easy.....tell us about the microcosm you live in......your backyard or your street, the supermarket where you get your groceries, a bingo parlour where you get your jollies, that hairstyling salon of yours, even the workplace.
Perhaps there is a park bench where you like to rest and savour that coffee or icecream.....all that is up to you.

As usual, we have until 23:00 hrs EST on Thursday (tomorrow) to submit our entries.

I shall start with a view from "my" shores of lake Ontario: in the dim afternoon light, looking east towards Toronto, and looking west towards Niagara penninsula. I do indeed spend much time by that shoreline, and our home is within an easy walking distance.

Excellent...another one of those world famous Petkal contests.

Here is a photo of an intersection (4th and Market) in San Francisco I see every workday...occasionally I take my camera to take a few snaps. I have a bias for night time black and whites.

Yes, another great shot by master Steve. I am normally not too keen on B&W conversions unless logical and fitting like in this case.

Sorry for my unintentional withholding of the info. It is Falls PArk in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Great place. The sound of the falls just lulls you into a very relaxed state.

You are too kind. All I've done is take the advice of so many here whose mantra is shoot, shoot, shoot. Every now and then a kernel of wheat can be found buried in the chaff.
