I've spent 34 years on the Oregon Coast. Grew up on the northern coast (near Tillamook). Spent my early adult years on the central coast (Newport/Depoe Bay). (I spent the summer after high school in Coos Bay) Now I live in the valley.

Great to see fellow Oregonians (and, more specifically, Oregon Coast Dwellers) here!

*waves* Howdy neighbor :D

The closest pieces of my world are currently either under water, or under a high wind (60+ mph) watch right now, so it's not the best time for man nor beast to venture out to take any pictures. ;)

However, this was a nearby piece of my world before the latest storm front started rolling in. The Seattle Pike Place Market. If you can't find something to photograph here, you're just not trying.

very true. Pikes Market is my favorite spot in Seattle.. I love all of the street performers that surround the area.. there are always tons of faces to shoot..

The same subject, from a slightly different perspective. And in the lower middle portion of the picture was a young man offering to recite poetry to passersby (for a small donation, of course).

Besides, I'm from down New Mexico way so I'm entitled to the chintzy Southwest decor.
