great effect with all of them, and love the colors. it almost looks like liquid. Awesome work.

what do you use for lighting? i always tend to shoot against a black background with one flash to the side. i have never gotten anything good from a white background

They're quite nice... I'm guessing you shot on black and reversed the image? :)

But I would have to agree with the source of smoke.

Very creative, love the abstract quality that comes from the color & lines against the white background, looks like a liquid more than smoke. Thanks for sharing.

For me this is one of the most interesting styles I've seen since being on here. Great concept and great job on the PS work. Incense is a much better idea too lol.

Nice shots! Yes, it's probably a black background, reversed. White would be too much of a similar contrast to the smoke trail.
