Man, I love this forum...

I'm looking at the Bogen / Manfrotto 3021Pro & the Slick AF-2100 Pistol Grip head (ballhead).

Does anyone have one or both?

If you have an opinion could you please express it either way?

This is my first attempt at buying a tripod and Ballhead and the selection is staggering, I could really use the help!

Thanks!

I have the 3021 Classic and the 488RC0 Ball head. I really like how sturdy the set up feels, how it can go flat on the ground, and the ball head is great as well. I dont see my self ever buying another tripod.

I am using the same set of leg, however I use the Bogen / Manfrotto 322RC2 Grip Action Ballhead. I personally love the setup. I am not worried about the lack of ability to pan as I have a seperate panning head attachment.

You don't take a photograph. You ask, quietly, to borrow it.

When ever Im at the race track I have my 488RC0 ball head on my monopod, loosen the lock a bit and you can get really smooth, longer exposure, panning shots.. Makes a great effect.
