I am having problems backing up photos to a CD-R. After the backup session is completed, I get an error message that reads:
An error occurred while verifying the files were successfully written to the CD. Incorrect Function
Any thoughts?

I've found that some of the supplementary data files (thumbs.db, zbthumb.info, etc.) may change or get updated while you're making the backup and thus not match what got burned to the CD when the verification pass is finished. Why not try switching off the verification, then just manualy checking the CD when it's finished? 1DsMkIII | 1DMkIIN | 70-200 f/2.8L IS | 24-70 f/2.8L | 24-105 f/4L IS | 17-40 f/4L | 50 f/1.2L | WFT-E1 & E2 Transmitters - Click Here for setup advice | CP-E4 Battery Pack x 2 | ST-E2 | 580EX | 550EX | 430EXII | 420EX | Tripod + monopod | Bowens Esprit Gemini 500W/s heads & Travel-Pak | All this gear - and still no idea

Depends on what application you're using. Which is why I asked. Some check readability, som compare files, some compare directory entries. Jon

As well as what software you are using it would probably help if you listed step by step how you are doing it. An auto function or walking through a wizard or some type of manual backup. 7D MKII ■ 10-22 ■ 15-85 ■ 28-135 ■ Σ 50-150 ■ 70-200 f4L ■ 100-400L ■ 580EX II
