Yes, I understand that, but my original post wasn't a reference to the use of "IQ", it referred to the frequently mistaken use of the contraction for "it is" instead of the possessive form of "it". That's why I bolded and underlined "it's" in my example.

I've never had a problem with spelling The like Teh. But I see a lot of people who do.

The one I always misspell is Untill. For some reason that extra L always seems to get in there.

*EDIT* Must be L fever.

I'm a sucker for extra lls myself. Any word ending in L usually gets two from me.. one is never enough.

:) Yes, it is somewhat counterintuitive that the possessive form does not include the apostrophe when that particular symbol is so closely associated with ownership. Judging from the large number of posts using "it's" as the possessive, it's :) apparent that many are confused.
