I've got an Powershot S 2IS and would like to take underwater pictures. Apparently Ikelite makes a housing for the camera for under $1,000 which is the best price I've seen. Has anyone used that housing and how were the results?

I have owned two Ikelite housings and they work very well. I housed a Nikon Coolpix 990 and a Olympus C8080 in Ikelite housings. To save on space and weight I've moved on to a Canon SD 700 IS and a Canon housing. If you have to travel to dive or snorkel you need to keep size and weight in mind as you will want to hand carry your eqp. Look at DigitalDiver.net and Wetpixel.com for information regarding how well the S2IS works for U/W photography. Fair warning that U/W photography is addictive and can become an expensive hobby. ;)
