Well, the round shape is a novelty...nice home...How will you frame your child's picture?

these pics are sharp...nicely framed...

what will you decide for frames for the rest of your round photos? Square frames?

I use the 8mm on my 30D so I'm not sure but I was under the impression that the image circle should nearly touch the top and bottom of the frame when used on a full-frame sensor. There seems to be a whole lot of black space in your photos - did you remove the 'hood' as well as the lens cap? It's not really a hood but part of the cap. Some people leave it on thinking it's supposed to be there and thus get more vignetting than they should.

I left the hood on the lens but i don't think it will do anything.
i can try another shots without hood if that will give another results.

Thank you:)

Circular and square frames are rare..

rectangular and oval frames are common...

you'll do well with square and round, I'm sure...

enjoy,

john

It's not really a hood but just part of the lens cap. You'll get a lot more picture without it!

You daughter will have plenty of great hand me down photo gear. Make sure you don't sell any of it just pass it onto here when she gets older.

You can always buy yourself the latest.
